Sir,
I have read the blog https://aadhaarcard.net.in/how-to-link-aadhaar-with-mtnl-number-via-otp/ published in Nov regarding linking MTNL mobile with Aadhar from 1st Dec 2017 and to watch that place for further information.
Now we are in Jan 2018. I have searched internet as to how to get OTP from MTNL, Mumbai for the purpose of linking Aadhar. I have dolphin mobile of Mumbai MTNL and I am staying in Bangalore. I have Aadhar with changed address of Bengaluru. As I am unable to go over to Mumbai for this purpose and OTP is the best way.
Please inform me the procedure to get OTP and where it should be written.

Hello H K Kulkarni,
MTNL has still not enabled online mode to re-verify MTNL Number with Aadhaar Card, but once they enable the IVRS Option you can dial toll free number 14546 from your MTNL Mobile Number which needs to be verified and get it re-verified with Aadhaar Card.
My mtnl card is of Mumbai but I m presently in goa for maternity reasons. I tried 14546. But it says its not a valid bsnl number.. Pls guide.
Hello Praneeta Prabhu,
MTNL has still not enabled re-verifying mobile with Aadhaar through IVRS, so i request you to wait till they enable IVRS Mode or else you can get the re-verification done by visiting Store or you can port your MTNL Number to some other operator.
14546 os still not enabled for MTNL. So you will have to visit mtnl store.
The admin is a copy paste idiot as you can see he says “That’s it you have successfully linked your Aadhaar Number with your Vodafone Mobile Number”.
He is making fool of us that MTNL could be vrified this way. And I am sure, he himself gas not tried it.
What is the correct last date for linking mobile with Aadhar? We are out of India n will be back only by middle of Msrch,2018. Can we link our mobile with Aadhar there after?
Hello K K Save,
Yes, you could get your Aadhaar linked with your mobile when you next visit India that is in March 2018. The actual order has not been passed by Supreme Court, so till than the deadlines would be further pushed. And operator cannot stop the services instantly. So be assured and get your Aadhaar linked with Mobile in March.
Dear sir,
I request you to kindly extend the last date for linking till 31st March 2018 to facilitate linking to all! Majority of NRI living in Gulf countries visit India during March due to school holidays! Such extension will facilitate them to complete linking procedure! Request to consider this favorably.
Thanks!
I am currently staying at Kolkata and having the MTNL Delhi Dolphin connection,.I have tried through IVRS Mode to link Aadhar and got message that this is not a local BSNL No. . Kindly guide.
Hello R Singh,
You should be in your local circle to get your mobile number verified with Aadhaar.
Oh !
Such a restrictive method is beyond any logic. The linking process needs to be simplified and hassel free. Why should one be required to be present in local circle….??
SIR THE TOLL FREE NO 14546 IS NOT CORRECT AS IT IS MEANT FOR VERIFICATION OF BSNL SIM ONLY PL CHECK UP AND CIRCULATE THE CORRECT NO FOR LINKIMG MTNL SIM WITH ADHAR
The aadhar-SIM linking system is disablec, as announced by IVRS at 14546…..!!
It is difficult and defeating the purpose of customer friendly mode of Aadhar linking.
No information about such important activity on official website of MTNL. Please provide link on MTNL website.
Mtnl advising to go to their centre for linking.

Since yesterday evening I am trying to re-verify my mobile No.9869176859 to link with Aadhar through the toll free No.14546. This morning also I am continuously trying to get the job done. I have received four/five OTP numbers, the last being 561722 on my Aadhar registered mobile No. Every time I get the answer “Aadhar service unavailable”. I don’t understand, what is wrong with MTNL. Once or twice it is possible aadhar service may not be available. But everytime cannot be. Will you please advise me as to what I should do or should I sit before the computer till the aadhar service is available. A line in reply will be much appreciated.
Hello C.G. Kutty,
If i speak the truth MTNL service sucks alot, nor they will bother to fix this issue soon. If possible i will advise you to port out of MTNL to some other mobile operator. Or else get your verification done by visting MTNL Office.
I am seeking this advise presuming you are in business (for service not profit). I see one can link the number with his Aadhar even when he is not the owner of the sim on cell phone. My MTNL number is linked to Aadhar and I am outstation. Is there any problem if I ask my friend in Mumbai to link my cell No to his Aadhar number. Will it change the status of my Aadhar linked to my MTNL cell phone. To clarify the SIM gets linked to my friends Aadhar and my Aadhar is linked to my MTNL SIM. I would think this a good alternative than porting and coming back in and out of MTNL.
Since 10.30 A.M. till 2.30 PM I was trying to get through your toll free number 14546. The moment I dial the number reply comes immediately “all the lines on this route are busy, please call after some time”. One can understand, when the lines are actually busy for one or two hours maximum. This is deliberate and intentional to harass the MTNL customers. I had already complained to you my problem earlier and as per your advice I dropped the idea of linking my mobile online. Suddenly this morning I got an SMS from you to link my phone by dialing the toll free number. I wasted my time energy and everything. I am a senior citizen and not in a position to go to your office and do it. Now I decided to change my sim card to some other companies sim cards, therefore I need not run from pillar to post. I have two MTNL Nos. You are now forcing me to change my SIM cards.
In feb i took my mom (75 yrs age) to the nearest mtnl customer service centre for aadhar linking. Unfortunately her finger print was not getting scanned. Now after receiving sms stating that she need no go to customer service centre, just dial 14546 & can link her aadhar card no. so i have tried linking my mom”s mtnl(trump) no.to aadhar card by dialing 14546. after following ass instructions & providing otp no. But then i get message that she should visit nearest mtnl customer service centre for aadhar linking.
Now how can she link her aadhar card, kindly suggest
Dear Sir,
I have a MTNL connection, but have been transferred to Rajasthan. When I tried to Link my Aadhar through IVRS, I got an error message that, this is Not a Valid Number. It seems the IVRS is taking to a BSNL Site and hence the Mobile number is Not getting Linked.
Kindly Also start a Web page to link Aadhar and get the connection Verified, within the Due time.
