Does Aadhaar Card has any renewal date or expiry?
Like your driving license, passport, employment card etc. contains expiry date, Aadhaar doesn’t contains or mentions any expiry or validity on it. Once Aadhaar is issued to resident, it stays for lifelong. Process on How to Renew your Aadhaar Card
Renewal of Aadhaar is no applicable as it doesn’t have any expiry or validity. But incase if you need to update your details in your Aadhaar then it can be done by quoting your same 12 digit UID Number. Aadhaar details can be updated online as well as offline, but as compared to offline process, online process is much more convenient and faster.

Through online uidai website, you can update only address in your Aadhaar. However rest all details can be updated offline, including address. So online there is a limitation of updating address only.
Whichever details are needs to be updated, you should provide supported documents. So make sure you have the documents available with you.
Details like name, gender, and date of birth in Aadhaar can be updated only once in a lifetime. For rest all details there is no limits on updating, and it can be updated from time to time as per your need.
Process to Update your Aadhaar Card Online
Before placing update request online on UIDAI Website, you must keep your documents ready scanned on your computer or laptop or smartphone or whichever device from which you are placing the update request. Note down that the scanned documents must be in JPEG, PNG, PDF file format and maximum size of file should be more than 2MB. To place update request, just access website //uidai.gov.in/
From the homepage options, just click on Update your address online
On next page two options will be visible Update your address online or do not have address proof? Request a validation letter.
Just click on first option that is Update your address online > Proceed to update address.
On next screen enter your 12 digits Aadhaar Number, solve the captcha, and click on send

On next page you will get two options saying please select how you would like to update address which would display Update address via address proof or update address via secret code.
Just click on update address via address proof.

On next page you will have to enter your address which you needs to update and click on preview button.
Your address entered would be previewed on next page, see if everything appears correct.

If everything is ok, then accept the declaration “I hereby confirm that I have read the instructions carefully and the information provided by me to the UIDAI is true and correct.” and click on submit button.

On next page you will need to upload a copy of valid address proof by selecting the document from the list and click on submit button.
On next screen select BPO and click on submit button.
On next page your URN will be successfully generated which is update request number, this number can be used for future tracking purpose.

Process to Update your Aadhaar Card via UIDAI Center
To update your Aadhaar details via UIDAI Center, you will need to take your existing Aadhaar with supported documents as per details which you want to update in your Aadhaar.
Visit the nearest Aadhaar Center in your location, with your Aadhaar and documents.
Request for Aadhaar Update Request Form, and fill in all details asked in the form.
Enclose supported documents for the update and submit it to the operator.
The operator will feed in all your details and for confirmation your biometrics will be captured.
You will be giving Aadhaar Update Receipt which you will need to keep safely, until your Aadhaar gets updated.
