Process to Download and Print your Aadhaar
You can download your e-Aadhaar Card anytime from the UIDAI website. The UIDAI’s website is accessible 24/7 and 365 days, and the best thing about it is that there are no limits to download your Aadhaar from UIDAI Server.
Your e-Aadhaar PDF File will be stored forever on UIDAI’s Database Server, so there so no need to worry about it. You can download your e-Aadhaar card numerous times whenever you want, but the only requirement is that you should have your phone number linked with your Aadhaar.
Not having your phone number linked with Aadhaar makes you ineligible to download your Aadhaar from UIDAI’s website. So if you don’t have your mobile number linked with Aadhaar then just get it updated by visiting the nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra.
To download your e-Aadhaar make sure you visit the official website of UIDAI, the only official website of UIDAI is https://uidai.gov.in/
Once you visit the website accessing the above-mentioned URL, just search out for the option download Aadhaar which will be under get Aadhaar section.
Just click on the download aadhaar option to proceed
On the next page, you will need to enter your Aadhaar or VID or enrolment ID. So make sure you select the selection option as per details which you have with you and enter the details accordingly
Solve the security code and click on the button send OTP or enter TOTP if you have mAadhaar App Installed on your phone and can generate TOTP’s
If you have selected Send OTP then you will be receiving One Time Password on your registered mobile number
Enter the received OTP and click on the verify and download button
Your e-Aadhaar PDF File will start to get download
Once your PDF File gets downloaded open the file with Adobe PDF Reader or else you can also open with Google Chrome Browser
On opening the file it will prompt you to enter the password
Just enter your first 4 letters of your name in block + year of birth
Once entering this password combination, click on the OK button and your Aadhaar PDF File will get open
To take a printout of your eAadhaar PDF File, make sure you have a printer connected to your device and then go to file and give a print command, this can also be done by pressing shortcut key on keyboard Ctrl+P
Select the printer from the list and click the print button
Your e-Aadhaar PDF File will get printed on physical paper
If you don’t have a printer, then what you can do is: copy the downloaded e-Aadhaar PDF File on your thumb drive or pen drive and visit the nearest Cyber Cafe or Printing Shop and get it printed from them.
