Most of the Aadhaar related tasks can be completed via OTP based authentication method, where the one-time-password code is sent on the registered mobile number, and once entering that code, the authentication successfully gets completed. So having a mobile number as well as an email address linked with Aadhaar Card is very essential and mandatory, as with the absence of a mobile number and email with Aadhaar you cannot carry out various Aadhaar related tasks also you won’t receive any notification whenever your Aadhaar is used.

Verify Email & Mobile Number through UIDAI Website
Visit UIDAI Official website https://uidai.gov.in/
On the homepage of UIDAI, just click on the option Verify Email/Mobile Number
On the next form, you will need to enter your 12 digits Aadhaar Number and then enter your mobile number or email address (any one form the contain details which you wish to verify)
Solve the captcha verification code by entering the same characters displayed in the image and click on the Send OTP button
If you had earlier verified your mobile and email then you will get a notification “The mobile or email you have entered already verified with our records.”
And if your mobile number or email address was not been verified yet then you will get one-time-password on your registered mobile number
Enter the received OTP code and click on the verify OTP button
On the next page, a message will be displayed saying “Congratulations! The mobile number 7XXXXXXXXX or email matches with the records”.

Verify Email / Mobile through mAadhaar app
To check your email/ mobile number in Aadhaar through mAadhaar app, install the app on your phone
Once the app is install, register using your mobile number
On the mAadhaar home screen, just tap on verify email/ mobile
On the next screen, tap on i want to verify mobile number or verify email id
On the next form, enter your Aadhaar Number, email or mobile number, enter the security captcha and click on the verify button
If the mobile or email which you have entered matches with the details present in your Aadhaar then on the next screen a message will be displayed stating “Congratulations! The mobile number 7XXXXXXXXX or email matches with the records”.
If you have entered incorrect mobile or email address while verifying then an error message will be displayed stating “The Mobile number or email you had entered does not match with our records.
If you haven’t registered any mobile number or the mobile number declared is not with you anymore then you can update the same by visiting the nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra or Bank.
