Requirements to Order Aadhaar Reprint
First of all to order Aadhaar Reprint you should have Aadhaar Number issued for yourself. In case if you are not yet enrolled for Aadhaar or if your Aadhaar is still not generated then you cannot request Aadhaar Reprint using Aadhaar reprint order service.
To place an Aadhar reprint order you should have your Aadhaar Number or Virtual ID, and registered mobile number which is linked with your Aadhaar Number. If your mobile number is not updated in your Aadhaar then you can still use this service to request a reprint of your Aadhaar by entering a non-registered mobile number to receive OTP.
Process to Order Aadhaar Reprint via UIDAI Aadhaar Online Services Portal
Visit UIDAI Official Portal by entering URL https://uidai.gov.in/ in your web browser

From Aadhaar homepage, just find for option Order Aadhaar Reprint and click on it

Aadhar Reprint Order page will open, in which you will have to enter your 12 digits Aadhaar Number or Aadhaar Virtual ID (VID) or Enrolment ID (EID)
Solve the security code and click on the Send OTP button if you have registered mobile number linked with your Aadhaar, in case if you don’t have mobile number linked with your Aadhaar then you can tick mark on “My Mobile number is not registered” and you will be asked to enter new mobile number on which you want to receive OTP.
Alternatively, if you have mAadhaar App Installed and configured on your phone then you can even click on the enter TOTP instead of Send OTP

Enter the received OTP or TOTP, accept the terms and conditions by checking in the box and click on the submit button.
On the next page, your Aadhaar Preview will be displayed showing photo, name, address, dob, gender (if you have used non-registered mobile number then you won’t get to see a preview in that case)

Verify your Aadhaar Details and just click on the make payment button

You would be then redirected to the payment gateway portal, just make the payment and you would be directed to the payment success page

Once successful payment, your Acknowledgement receipt for Aadhaar reprint order will be generated on which payment date and time, SRN, receipt number, transaction id, amount, transaction status, last four digits of Aadhaar will be mentioned.
This receipt will be very important as it will contain SRN, with which you can track your order status. For future reference or tracking, you can download the soft copy of the Acknowledgement receipt for Aadhaar reprint order by clicking on the Acknowledgement Slip button.
However, you will also receive your SRN on your Aadhaar registered mobile number or non-registered mobile number which you have provided.

The process to order Aadhar reprint is almost the same as you do it through UIDAI Website, but the only difference here is that you don’t need to access the UIDAI website to order a reprint. With the help of the mAadhaar app, you can easily place an order in a few taps from your smartphone.
So now let’s get into a detailed process on how to place an Aadhaar reprint order through the mAadhaar app.
First of all, if you are planning to order your Aadhaar reprint from the mAadhaar app then you should have an Android or iOS (iPhone or iPad) device. This mAadhaar app isn’t available for PC or Laptop, so you strictly need as smartphone device running with Android OS or iOS.
Download the official app by UIDAI called mAadhaar from Google Playstore or App store
Once you download the mAadhaar app, just tap on the mAadhaar app icon to launch it
Once the app gets launched, just signup with your mobile number and set a profile password for the app
Once done with setting up your profile, on the home screen of the mAadhaar app you will find several UIDAI services listed

On the next screen, the app will display an important note about ordering Aadhaar reprint like:
- Order Aadhaar reprint is a paid service
- Order Aadhaar reprint by paying a nominal fee of Rs.50 (inclusive GST and speed post charges)
- Reprinted Aadhaar letter will be handed over to India Post within 5 working days for delivery to your registered address via speed post
You just need to read out these conditions and if you agree with it then just tick mark on terms and conditions by tapping on it and then tap on the OK button

On the next page, you will be asked whether you have a registered mobile number linked with your Aadhaar. If you have a registered mobile number linked with your Aadhaar then just tap on I have a registered mobile number and if you don’t a mobile number registered with Aadhaar then tap on I have an unregistered mobile number

In the next screen, you will need to enter your Aadhaar or VID Number, solve the captcha, (if you have selected I have an unregistered mobile number then you will need to enter a mobile number on which you can receive OTP) click on the Request OTP button

You will receive one-time-password on your registered mobile number or unregistered mobile number
Enter the received OTP and click on the verify button

If you are ordering Aadhaar reprint using a registered mobile number then your Aadhaar preview will be displayed showing your photograph, name, date of birth, gender, and address. And in case if you are placing an order with an unregistered mobile number then it won’t show you any preview of your Aadhaar.

The page will get navigated to payment gateway where you will need to make an online payment using any of the payment options available like Credit/ Debit Cards, UPI or Net Banking

How do I cancel Aadhaar Reprint Order
Once you successfully place an order for Aadhaar reprint, it cannot be canceled or returned back in any circumstances. There isn’t any functionality available on UIDAI Official website which allows you to cancel your reprint order once payment is made or return your order once it is shipped or dispatched.
Before ordering a reprint of Aadhaar for yourself, you should make a decision whether you actually want a reprint or not as later on you cannot cancel or return the order like we usually do with eCommerce portals.
How to Check Aadhaar Reprint Order Status
To check the status of your Aadhaar Reprint visit official UIDAI Website https://www.uidai.gov.in/
From the homepage, just click on the option Check Aadhaar Reprint Status

Check Aadhaar Reprint Status page will open in which you will need to enter your SRN (Service Request Number) which will be of 28 digits printed on the Acknowledgement Slip as well as you will find it in your SMS Inbox, enter your 12 digits Aadhaar Number and solve the captcha security code

How to Check Delivery Status of your Aadhaar Reprint Order
Usually, within 5 working days, your Aadhaar Reprint will be handed over to the Department of Posts (DOP). And once your order gets dispatched by the SPEED POST Service of Department of Post (DoP) a Consignment Number or AWB will be generated for your package and you will receive the details via SMS on your mobile number.

How do I get or retrieve a lost Aadhaar SRN which was sent by SMS?
If you have lost your SRN which was sent to you on your registered mobile number or non-registered mobile number, then it cannot be retrieved or recovered back in any means. However, after placing an order for Aadhaar Reprint you will need to be extra careful to download the softcopy of Acknowledgement Slip on which your SRN will be mentioned. Or else you should at least note down the SRN details if you have a habit of deleting messages from your phone.
If your order was sucessfully placed, then what you can do is be patience and wait for the dispatch message of your Aadhaar Reprint which will also contain India Post Consignment Number or AWB. Using India Post Consignment Number or Airway Bill Number (AWB) you would be able to know the current status of your package.

Will I get refunded in case of non-delivery of my Aadhaar reprint?
Once your order gets dispatched you will be sent Airway Bill Number which can be used to track the status of your consignment by visiting the DoP i.e. India Speed Post official website.
