UIDAI had launched Aadhaar in the year 2009 and as of now each and every Indian resident is holding Aadhaar Card. So the government’s UIDAI database has each and every detail from demographic to biometrics data of its residents, so by this way with simple 12-digit Aadhar Number the identity of the resident can be easily verified.
Skype has introduced an initiative by launching the Skype Lite App which now allows verifying the identity of the person on call via Aadhaar Authentication. This feature to verify identity on call will be very helpful during job interviews when they feel that they need to have verification.
How does Aadhaar Verification Works?
Aadhaar Integration in Skype Lite App will work in the following manner.
- While ongoing call the user may ask for verification of the opposite party, when verification asked the opposite party will be prompted to enter his or her 12-digit Aadhar Number and complete the authentication process by entering the OTP received on your phone.
- Once the Opposite party enters the One Time Password he will be successfully verified. And once the call is ended all the details entered will be wiped out and will not be stored.
