Aadhaar Holder can place reprint request by using registered mobile number or in case if no mobile number is linked or mobile number is not valid then there is also an option to order Aadhaar print using non-registered mobile number. But when it comes to ordering Aadhaar reprint at different address other than registered address, then this request of reprint cannot be fulfilled by UIDAI. For the security and privacy of Aadhaar Holders, UIDAI Portal doesn’t allows to order Aadhaar Print other than registered Address. You can only order Aadhaar reprint on your address registered with Aadhaar, instead while placing the order you will not even get option to select delivery address as your Aadhaar Print would be delivered to your Registered Aadhaar Address Only.
So if you are thinking whether ordering Aadhaar reprint other than registered Address is possible, then this is impossible.
If you don’t want your Aadhaar Reprint to get delivered at registered address then what you can do is first get your Address Updated in your Aadhaar Card and then once getting your address updated you can order Aadhaar reprint on your new address. However if you update address, an updated Aadhaar would be sent to your updated address by UIDAI Free of cost even though you didn’t order Reprint.

How to Update Aadhaar Address to Order Aadhaar Reprint other than registered address
You can update your Aadhaar Address Online or Offline by visiting Aadhaar Kendra. It depends upon your personal preference which mode you want to go for to update your Address. However Online Update will mandatorily need valid mobile number, incase no mobile number is linked with your Aadhaar then you cannot proceed with Online Mode.
Online Mode to Update Address in Aadhaar
To update address in your Aadhaar via Online Mode, you will need to visit UIDAI Official Portal by accessing URL https://uidai.gov.in/
From UIDAI Homepage just find for option update your address online and click on it.
On next page three options will be displayed:
- Update your address online
- Do not have address proof? Request a validation letter
- Check Status
Just click on proceed to update address button and it will open a new page.
To update your address you will need to login into your Aadhaar by authenticating yourself via OTP.
Just enter your 12 digit Aadhaar or you can even use VID, solve the captcha code and click on send otp button or TOTP button incase if you have mAadhaar App Installed on your phone.
If you have selected send otp then you will receive one time password on your registered mobile number, enter that otp code in enter otp space and click on login button.
If case if you have selected TOTP then you will need to generate TOTP through mAadhaar App and enter the same in enter TOTP Space and click on login button.
On next page again two option will be displayed stating Please select how you would like to update address:
- Update Aadhaar via Address Proof
- Update Aadhaar via Secret Code
Just click on update Aadhaar via Address Proof and a new page will be displayed where you will need to fill in your new address which you want to update.
Enter the correct new address and click on preview button.
On next screen your entered details will be previewed, just check for all details clearly and click on proceed button.
Next you will need to upload the documents of address proof.
Once uploading the documents, just click on submit button.
On next page select BPO provider, select any which has better performance and click on proceed button.
That’s it you have successfully submitted your Aadhaar Address Update Request.
Your Aadhaar Update Receipt will be generated which will contain URN, you can use this number to track your update status in future.
TO update your address it will take almost 2 -3 working weeks and once it is updated you will also get notified via SMS.
And once your Address gets updated you can place order Aadhar Reprint on your new address.
Offline Mode to Update Address in Aadhaar
To update your Aadhaar Address via Offline Mode first of all you will have to make sure where is nearby Aadhaar Enrolment Center Located in your area. If you are unable to find it then you can easily find one by clicking here.
Once finding the Aadhaar Kendra, prepare Address Proof Document which are supported by UIDAI and also take your existing Aadhaar and walk in to the center.
Take Aadhaar Application Form from the Center and fill up details asked in the form.
Enclose your documents and submit it to the operator.
The operator will begin feeding all info into the software.
You will need to check if the operator is entering your details correctly.
Once details are entered your biometrics will be captured for authentication and Aadhaar Update Receipt will be generated.
You will need to keep this receipt safely with you until your Address gets updated in your Aadhaar.
Once your Address Gets updated you can order Aadhaar reprint on your new updated address.

Order Aadhaar Reprint after Updating Address
To Order Aadhaar once your address gets updated you will need to visit UIDAI Official Homepage https://uidai.gov.in/
On homepage itself, search for option Order Aadhaar Re-reprint and just click on it.
A new page will open asking you to login with your Aadhaar Number.
Enter your Aadhaar Number or VID Number, solve the captcha code, and click on send otp.
If you don’t have mobile number linked with Aadhaar or If mobile number is not available with you then you can checkmark “If you do not have a registered mobile number, please check in the box.” And enter non-registered mobile number and click on send otp.
Alternatively if you have mAadhaar App Installed then you can also use TOTP option.
Enter the OTP or TOTP in the field and accept the terms and conditions by clicking on it and then click on submit button.
By accepting the terms and conditions you will be giving consent to following things:
- I hereby give my consent for reprinting of my Aadhaar.
- I understand that my Printed Aadhaar Letter will be delivered at my address, registered with Aadhaar which is complete and correct with Pincode.
- I hereby agree to pay ₹50/- (Incl GST) for this Paid Aadhaar Letter Service of UIDAI.
- I understand that the Aadhaar Letter will be delivered using SPEED POST Service of Department of Post (DoP) in line with DoP delivery norms and Delivery Status may be tracked using DoP Status Track Services.
On next page your Aadhaar will be previewed if you had authentication via registered mobile number or else it won’t show preview.
