Once the Aadhaar Officials visit your home to enroll in the bedridden patient, you will have to submit the form with supporting documents. Aadhar Enrollment Operator will start feeding the details which you mentioned in the form in the software, so you will have to check it carefully if the operator enters it correctly. If the operator has made any mistake while entering your details then you will have to inform them straight away to correct it.

The operator will scan all the documents which you have provided for Aadhaar enrolment and the originals will be returned back to you at the same time.

Once entering the details the operator will capture biometric details of the bedridden person like both eyes iris scan, both hands thumbs scanning, both hands four fingers fingerprints and one photograph will be clicked.

Next, you will be handed over the Aadhaar Card Resident Copy or Acknowledgement Copy of the bedridden person. You will have to keep the Aadhaar Card Resident Copy or Acknowledgement Copy safely with you as you can easily track the status of your Aadhaar Application as well as you can download your Aadhaar electronic copy once it gets generated.

That’s it you have successfully enrolled the bedridden person for Aadhaar Card and this is how you can get Aadhar Card for a bed-ridden person.

    Sir,

Would like to have aadhar card for my parents (85 year old) and bed ridden

  15. I tried Aadhar detail change for my mother who was bed ridden for about 5 years and was not in position to go to any enrollment centre. The UIDAI does not have any policy for such a person. They were insisting on mobile number registration and update but while updating her name back in 2012 mobile number was not mandatory so we did not do the same. I tried 1947, twitter @ uidai, had many email and postal communication with the UIDAI regional centre in Ranchi, esp. their director Sunil Prasad and also sent medical certificate as per their demand but in the end the heartless bureaucracy did not budge an inch from its stand that the 81 year old bed ridden physically immobile person has to go to a nearest enrollment centre for change in details, which obviously she could not. So end of the story – please do not expect any special treatment. This Government is heartless.

  16. I want to Know how can i make a aadhar card for my bedridden grandma please let me know as soon as possible thank you

  17. Sir,

My sister is bedridden and there is a correction on her date of birth at her Adhar card. Since she is invalid, she studied up to 5th Grade only. Now we need to correct her date of birth at Adhar card and she is having the below-mentioned certificates :

School certificate for the proof of Date of Birth.
    Adhar card copy
    Govt. issued an invalid certificate

How can i proceed.. looking forward your kind advise.

    • Hello Radeesh,

The above documents which you mentioned are sufficient to make a date of birth correction in your Sister’s Aadhaar. The next big thing is if you are comfortable you can visit any nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra with your Sister to get her date of birth updated. Or if it is not feasible for you, then you can just have a talk with the nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra if it is possible to make arrangements for your sister’s DOB correction at home.
