Requirement to Apply for Portuguese Passport in India
To apply for Portuguese Passport the applicant must be born in Goa, Daman, Diu or Dadra and Nagar Haveli prior to 19.12.1961 or 24.06.1954 or the applicant’s parent/grandparent should be born in any one the former Portuguese territories of Goa, Daman, Diu, Dadra or Nagar Haveli before 19th December 1961.

Documentation to Apply for Portuguese Passport in India
When it comes to applying for Portuguese Passport you can use your Aadhaar Card as an identity proof document, but including Aadhaar there is additional need of other documents to process your Portuguese Passport Application.
Aadhaar is not at all mandatory to apply for Portuguese Passport, but it is one of the document which is accepted as a identity proof document. So incase if you don’t have Aadhaar then you can furnish other identity proof documents like Voter ID, Driving License etc. But in absence of these identity proof documents, you can apply for Aadhaar Card and use it as identity proof document.

Indian Passport
Identity Proof Document’s such as Aadhaar Card, Voter ID (EPIC), or Driving License
Applicant’s Birth Certificate (TEOR)
Residence Certificate with photograph of applicant
Applicant’s additional proof of residence documents from the period 1st Jan 1974 to 31st Dec 1975 like School/ College Certificate, Employment, or Church Certificate
Old documents of applicants or parents issued by the Portuguese authorities before 1961 (Bilhete de Identidade’ issued by the Arquivo de Identificação do Estado da India, Cédula Pessoal, Portuguese Passport, Documento de Viagem)
If applicable Death Certificate
Applicant those who are born after 1961
Indian Passport
Identity Proof Document’s such as Aadhaar Card, Voter ID (EPIC), or Driving License
Applicant’s Birth Certificate (Birth up to 1970 must be TEOR)
Assento de Nascimento and “Assento de Casamento” of the parent(s) whose birth is registered Portugal
Birth certificate of the parent who is not a Portuguese National
All these above documents must be in English or local language, and must also contain a Portuguese translation except passport/ B.I./C.C.
All Indian documents and respective translations except passport/ B.I./C.C must be attested with Apostille by Ministry of External Affairs of India.
Documents which are issued outside India should be attested by Apotille of the respective issuing country. In case the country is not a member of the Hague Convention, the document should be attested by Consulate / Embassy of Portugal in the area of jurisdiction of the said country.
