Jio has become No 1 telecom operator in India, as during its launch Jio had provided Welcome Offer which included a bundle of Free Unlimited 4G Internet Data, Unlimited Voice Calls, Unlimited Video Calls, and Unlimited SMS for a period of 3 months until 31st December 2016. But post the Welcome Offer, there were several attractive plans launched by Reliance Jio which encouraged customers to stay stuck with Jio, as Jio is an only mobile operator in India who provided cheap plans.

The best part about Jio is that they are issuing SIM for free without paying any additional cost, the customer only pays for the plan. But to get one Jio connection you need proof of identity, proof of address and a passport size photograph. And if you have Aadhaar with you then there is no requirement of any additional document or your passport size photograph to get Jio SIM.
To Apply for Jio Connection you just need to provide your valid 12 digits Aadhaar Number and the executives at the Jio Store will capture your biometric data i.e. Fingerprint, and if it matches the data present in UIDAI database then your Aadhaar authentication gets successful. This means if anyone has your Aadhaar Number he can’t misuse it.
This is how you can easily get Jio SIM with Aadhaar Card Number without providing any additional documents like Proof of Address, Proof of Identity and Photograph. As Aadhaar Card is itself Proof of Identity and Proof of Address and your biometric details and photograph is also stored in your Aadhaar Number.
Aadhaar is mandatory to apply for Jio Connection, if you don’t have Aadhaar or don’t wish to provide your Aadhaar then you can get a new connection by using your identity proof, address proof documents, and additionally, you will also have to submit one passport size photograph.
