Aadhaar Seva Kendra is not limited to enrolment and update, but it also offers many other Aadhaar related services. One of the useful Aadhaar services offered by ASK is the Aadhaar search using eKYC.

Aadhaar search using eKYC proves a very important feature when a resident loses their Aadhaar details.

Aadhaar search by eKYC service offered by Aadhaar Seva Kendra is a chargeable service for which you will need to pay ₹30 including GST. So now let’s get started on how to avail this service to search Aadhaar by fingerprints when you lose your Aadhaar details.

To get your Aadhaar details back you will need to first of all visit nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra in your location

Once you reach the Aadhaar Seva Kendra, tell the operator that you have lost your Aadhaar details and request to search your Aadhaar by eKYC

The operator will open the Aadhaar Software and will launch the service find Aadhaar by eKYC

You will be asked to keep your fingerprint over the fingerprint scanner device

Once your fingerprint gets captured, the software will submit a query to search your details in the database as per the biometric details

The software will detect the Aadhaar against the captured fingerprint and it will display your Aadhaar Number

You will be provided with a printout of your Aadhaar

Before we start the process to retrieve or recover lost UID or EID let us make you informed that to recover your Aadhaar Number or Aadhaar Enrolment Number you should have a mobile number or email id registered with your Adhaar Card. So now let’s get started to recover your lost EID or UID.

To recover your Aadhaar Details just visit UIDAI Official Portal https://uidai.gov.in/

On the homepage of UIDAI, you will find an option Retrieve Lost or Forgotten EID/UID

Just click on Retrieve Lost or Forgotten EID/UID link and a new page will open

In the new page, you will need to make a selection whether you want to recover your lost Aadhaar No (UID) or Enrolment ID (EID)

Just select any one of them as per your preference and then enter your full name, mobile number or email-id (make sure your name, mobile or email id is as per the details which you have provided in your Aadhaar)

Next, solve the Security Code displayed in the image by entering it in enter Security Code and click on Send OTP or Enter TOTP

Retrieve Lost UID OTP

You will receive a one-time-password on your email id or mobile number, just enter the received OTP in enter OTP field and click on the login button

UID Sent

Your Aadhaar Number (UID) or Aadhaar Enrollment ID (EID) will be sent to your email or mobile number instantly

Now you have recovered your Aadhaar Number or Aadhaar Enrollment Number, so next if you want you can download a digital copy of your Aadhaar Card Online.

      Just track status of your Aadhaar Application
      There you will have to enter your enrollment id with date and time as printed on your enrollment slip.
      If your Aadhaar Status shows Aadhaar Number generated than you can download your Aadhaar Card Copy Online by following How to Download Aadhaar Card Online.
