So if you are facing failure while Aadhaar fingerprint authentication then before you proceed with updating your fingerprints do check if your biometrics are locked. After locking biometrics if a UID is used for invoking any of the authentication services using a biometric modality (fingerprint/iris) a specific error code ‘330’ indicating biometrics are locked. Below is the process which will explain to you how to unlock the biometrics of your Aadhaar.
How to Unlock Fingerprints of your Aadhaar to overcome fingerprint not matching error code 330
To unlock your biometrics for successful authentication visit UIDAI Website https://uidai.gov.in/
On the homepage find for option “Lock/Unlock Biometrics” and click on it

On the next page just tick mark on “I Understand that after biometric lock enables, I will not perform biometric authentication until I unlock Biometrics.” and click on the Lock/ Unlock Biometrics button

In the next screen enter your 12 digits Aadhaar Number or VID and click on the Send OTP or enter TOTP option
If you have selected Send OTP then you will receive one-time-password on your registered mobile number or else in case if you have selected enter TOTP then generate the TOTP from mAadhaar App
Enter the receive one-time-password in the enter OTP field and click on the submit button

On the next page if your biometrics are locked then it will display a message Your Biometric is locked (you will not be able to use Biometrics (fingerprints/iris) for authentications thus preventing potential misuse)
So if you are able to see this message that your biometrics is locked then that means your biometrics were locked and that’s the reason you were facing failure while fingerprints authentication

To unlock the biometrics permanently just click on the disable locking feature or if you want to temporarily unlock your fingerprints then you can click on the Unlock biometrics button and your biometrics will be unlocked until a specific period of time which is displayed on the screen.

If your biometrics were not locked then you will need to move on to update your fingerprints so that you can fix the issue of Aadhaar fingerprint not matching error.
